Multi-state unclaimed property checklist

Property is held by the state of your last address in a company's records, so people who moved often have property in more than one state. Tick every state where you lived, worked or banked and the events that apply. You get a list of the official searches to run, which you can tick off and print.

Nothing you tick leaves your device: your choices and progress are kept only in this browser (local storage) so the list is still here when you come back. We never ask for your name or any personal data.

Your list of official searches

Tick at least one state above and your list appears here.

How to use the list

Search each official site under every name you have used, including a maiden or former married name, and under the name of any business you ran. Use the city or ZIP code of each old address to narrow results. Searching and claiming through the official programs is free; a site that charges to search is not an official program.

State links come from the same records as the state pages. Where the list points to unclaimed.org/search, the directory of official programs kept by the state administrators' association, make sure the site you land on belongs to the state. Links to other official searches come from the agencies' own pages, checked Nov. 3, 2026.
